What is the Caucus and Why Does It Matter?

The Colorado Caucus is one way for candidates to qualify for the June primary ballot. Through a series of precinct, county, and congressional caucus and assembly meetings, Democratic voters choose which candidates they want to advance to the primary ballot.  This multi-stage process is so important because it gives ordinary Democrats direct influence over which candidates appear on the June primary ballot.

Participation in the caucus and assembly process requires being a registered Democrat by February 13th, 2026, as well as a resident of the relevant precinct. Feel free to email etta@mannyforcolorado.com for additional information or with questions regarding this process!

Manny is a longtime advocate and attorney who grew up working class and is running to ensure our communities have an honest shot at success. He’s focused on lowering costs for working families by expanding tax credits, making billionaires and corporations pay their fair share, and bringing down the cost of everyday essentials like prescription drugs, health care, and energy. Manny will fight to protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare, take on Big Pharma by capping insulin at $35 a month, and expand access to affordable care. By caucusing for Manny, you can help elect a leader who will stand up for working families, defend our freedoms, and bring a strong, results-driven voice to CO-08.
